Drill/Color Guard

About Drill:

Drill is the execution of certain movements by which individuals or units are moved in a uniform matter from one formation to another, or from one place to another. Movements are executed in unison and with precision. Picture on the right is last year's Female Armed Platoon at state finals commanded by former Command Sergeant Major Rachel Baker.

About Color Guard:

In the military of the United States and other militaries, the color guard (where the word color is referring to the national flag) carries the National Color and other flags appropriate to its position in the chain of command. Typically these include a unit flag and a departmental flag (Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard). In addition to the flag bearers, who are positioned in the center of the color guard, there are two or more individuals who carry rifles and or sabres. Picture on the left (from left to right) is Cadet Vega, Richardson, Stacey (also yours truly), and Todd after an honorary veteran's gathering.
